about the honorable badge "Maternity."
The National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Republic decided on the following Act:
To mothers who have given more than one child to society, national committees show public recognition by granting an honorary badge of "motherhood" of three degrees.
The "Maternity" badge is usually awarded on International Women's Day. It will be awarded for the first time on International Women's Day in 1958.
The first degree "Maternity" badge is awarded to mothers who have 10 or more children, second grade mothers who have 9 or 8 children, third grade mothers who have 7, 6 or 5 children.
Grade I Honorary "Maternity" badge is awarded by the Board of the Regional National Committee on a proposal from the Board of the Local National Committee, level II Honorary "Maternity" badge is given by the Council of the District National Committee on a proposal from the Local National Committee, and level III Honorary "Maternity" badge is given by the Board of the Local National Committee.
(1) If the bearer of the honorary badge "Maternity" is guilty of an act which makes her unworthy of that honorary badge, or if the fact that the badge has been awarded to her undeservedly has been subsequently made clear, she loses her honorary badge.
(2) In such cases, the loss of an honorary badge shall be expressed by the Commission set up by the Regional National Committee on a proposal from the Board of the Local National Committee. The Commission's decision is final.
The Government shall determine the details of the granting of the honorary badge "Maternity."
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication; it shall be carried out by all members of the Government.
