Decret of the President of the Republic
of 22 October 1945
about the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra.
On the proposal of the Government,
Of the regular and provisional members of the association "Czech Philharmonic Orchestra (Prague Philharmonic Orchestra), the association of professional music artists in Prague" is established a state orchestra called the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra as a separate and self-governing institution based in Prague.
(1) The costs associated with the administration and operation of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, if they are not covered by its own revenue, are borne by the State.
(2) The rights and obligations of the association "Czech Philharmonic Orchestra (Prague Philharmonic Orchestra), the association of professional music artists," are transferred according to the agreement with the association without compensation to the state orchestra of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra.
(1) The Minister of Education and Education is responsible for supervising the state orchestra of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra.
(2) Details of the organisation of administration and operation, the principles of management and the completion of the orchestra are laid down by the Minister for Education and Education in agreement with the Ministers for Finance and Interior.
(3) The Czech Philharmonic Minister of Education and Education will adjust the service and pay ratios of members and other staff of the Czech Philharmonic National Orchestra in agreement with finance, home and labour and social security ministers.
This Decision shall take effect on the day of its publication; It shall be carried out by the Minister for Education and Education in agreement with the Ministers for Finance, Home Affairs and Labour and Social Welfare.
