THE LAW
of 9 June 1999
amending Act No. 61 / 1988 Coll., on Mining Activities, Explosives and the State Mining Administration, as amended
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Act No. 61 / 1988 Coll., on Mining Activities, Explosives and State Mining Administration, as amended by Act No. 425 / 1990 Coll., Act No. 542 / 1991 Coll. and Act No. 169 / 1993 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. In Article 3, at the end of point (i), the dot is replaced by a comma and the following point (j) is added:
"(j) work to make old and abandoned mining works available and to keep them safe."
2. In Paragraph 44 (1), "100 000 CZK 'is replaced by" 1 000 000 CZK'.
3. In Paragraph 44 (4), the amount "5 000 CZK 'is replaced by" 50 000 CZK'.
4. In Paragraph 44 (6), "200 CZK 'is replaced by" 2 000 CZK'.
5. In Article 44, paragraph 12 is added, including footnote 20a:
"(12) The authority of the State Mining Administration, which imposed the fine at first instance, collects and enforce it under the Tax and Charges Administration Act. 20a)
20a) Act No. 337 / 1992 Coll., on the Administration of Taxes and Fees, as amended. '
Transitional provision
If a breach of the obligations for which a fine may be imposed occurs before the entry into force of this law, a fine shall be imposed in accordance with existing rules.
Efficacy
This Law shall take effect on the first day of the third calendar month following that of its publication.
