Federal Ministry of Finance

on the issue of commemorative silver hundred crowns for the 100th anniversary of the birth of Bohumir Šmeral
The Federal Ministry of Finance declares pursuant to § 3 (2) of Act No. 41 / 1953 Coll., on monetary reform, and pursuant to § 2 (2) of Government Decree No. 35 / 1954 Coll., on commemorative coins:
(1) On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the important political actor Bohumir Šmeral, commemorative silver hundred crowns are issued.
(2) The silver stockings are driven by an alloy of 500 pieces of silver, 400 parts of copper, 50 parts of nickel and 50 parts of zinc. The weight of the hundred koruna is 9 g. In the case of stamping, a tolerance up and down of 10 / 1000 and a silver content of 5 / 1000 is permitted. The diameter is 29 mm, the edge is serrated.
(1) On the face of the commemorative silver stokron is the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and under it in two rows is the denomination designation "100 Kčs." In the copy to the circle from the left is the name of the State "CZECH SOCIAL REPUBLIC."
(2) On the back of the commemorative silver stokron is a portrait of Bohumir Šmeral, his name "BOHUMíR ŠMERAL" is placed in a copy left of the portrait. In the lower right part of the coin there are numbers "1880-1980" in the row. The author of the design of the commemorative silver stokron is the academic sculptor Jiří Harcuba, whose brand "H" is placed below the year "1980."
This Decree shall take effect on 24 October 1980.
