on changes to the official names of cities, municipalities, settlements and parts of settlements authorised in 1946.
According to Article 5 of the Act of 14 April 1920, No 266 Coll., on the names of cities, municipalities, settlements and streets, as well as the labelling of municipalities by local tables and house numbering, I declare that in 1946 the following changes to official names were permitted:
I. Of the official names introduced before 30 September 1938 in the Czech and Moravian-Silesian countries for certain municipalities, settlements and parts thereof in the Czech language and in the language of former minorities, the local names set out in the minority language have been deleted.
The other official names of the municipalities, settlements and parts thereof were renewed in the version in force before 30 September 1938, excluding the name of the city of the German Brod, which was changed to Havlíčkov Brod.
As a result, the local names introduced during the period of infreedom, all German names, the name Batiov, established for the municipality of Otrokovice in the administrative district of Zlín, the name White Stone, established for the municipality of Závkov in the administrative district of Havlíčkova Brod and the name Budejovice, established for the city of České Budějovice.
