GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 5 August 1960
on changes in the organisation of universities
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic orders pursuant to § 3 of Act No. 58 / 1950 Coll., on Higher Education:
§ 1
At the Czech Technical University in Prague, the Faculty of Engineering Construction is merged with the Faculty of Architecture and Construction in the Faculty of Construction and the Faculty of Economics and Engineering is abolished.
§ 2
The headquarters of the University of Transport in Prague is gradually transferred from Prague to Žilina; The title of the University of Transport in Prague is therefore changed and reads with effect from 1 September 1962: University of Transport in Žilina.
§ 3
The Faculty of Automation and Economics of Chemical Production is established at the University of Chemistry in Prague.
§ 4
University of Engineering and Electrical Engineering in Pilsen is divided into Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
§ 5
(1) The name of the University of Engineering in Liberec changes and reads: University of Engineering and Textiles in Liberec.
(2) The University of Engineering and Textiles in Liberec is divided into the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Textiles.
§ 6
At the University of Agriculture in Prague, the Faculty of Economics is established with its headquarters in České Budějovice.
§ 7
The Faculty of Engineering Construction and the Faculty of Architecture and Construction in the Faculty of Construction are merged at the University of Technical Engineering in Brno.
§ 8
At the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, the Faculty of Engineering and Engineering are merged with the Faculty of Architecture and Construction in the Faculty of Construction and the Faculty of Economics and Engineering is abolished.
§ 9
At Charles University in Prague, there is a faculty called the Institute of Information and Journalism.
§ 10
The name of the University in Brno is Jan Evangelist Purkyně University in Brno.
§ 11
(1) The Faculty of Pharmaceutical University Jan Evangelist Purkyně in Brno and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical University Komenský in Bratislava are merged in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical University Komenský in Bratislava.
(2) A faculty called the Institute of Physical Education and Sport is hereby established at the University of Komenský, Bratislava.
§ 12
The name of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Economics in Bratislava changes and reads: Faculty of Sector Economics.
§ 13
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 September 1960.
