about Nizke Tatry National Park
The Government of the Slovak Socialist Republic orders according to § 10 paragraph 1 and § 11 of the Slovak National Council Act No. 1 / 1955 Coll. SNR, on State Conservation of Nature:
Establishment of a national park
§ 1
(1) The National Park Low Tatras ("National Park") is hereby established.
(2) In order to ensure the protection of the territory of the national park against interference, its protection zone shall be determined.
(3) The territory of the national park and its protection zone is defined in the Annex which forms part of this Regulation.
§ 2
The purpose of establishing a national park is to:
(a) to protect, renew and enhance the landscape beauty, natural and cultural richness of its territory, taking into account scientific, cultural and aesthetic values and health, tourism, recreation and sport use;
(b) develop, in accordance with approved economic plans, the different sectors of the national economy within its territory in such a way as to ensure, at the same time, the protection and restoration of natural resources and the enhancement of the natural environment of the national park.
Nature conservation
§ 3
(1) In the territory of a national park, economic, technical and other activities (hereinafter referred to as "economic activity ') may be planned and carried out only in accordance with its mission and needs and without disturbing or damaging its natural environment and the overall nature of the landscape. The compliance of economic interests with cultural social needs in the territory of the national park shall be ensured within the approved economic plans and planning documentation. 1)
(2) In the national park protection zone, economic activity may only be carried out in such a way that the biological and aesthetic values of the national park are not undermined in particular by air, water and soil pollution.
(3) The authorities and organisations which use the territory of the national park and its protection zone for their purposes and citizens residing or staying in the district of the national park are obliged to maintain the conditions laid down for the protection of that territory. 2)
§ 4
(1) The authorities and organisations which use the national park for their purposes shall, within the approved economic and financial plans, provide material and financial resources for the protection, restoration and enhancement of the national park where the need for such funds arises from the activities they carry out in its territory.
(2) The costs of protecting, restoring and enhancing the natural environment of the national park, which are not derived from the activities of the authorities and organisations within its territory, are borne by their central authorities in their budget.
National Park Administration
§ 5
(1) The management of the national park under this Regulation and the professional tasks of the national nature conservation in the territory of the national park and its protection zone are carried out by the Slovak Institute of Heritage Care and Nature Protection.
(2) The Slovak Institute of Heritage Care and Nature Protection in particular:
(a) discuss matters relating to the protection, restoration and enhancement of the national park and its protection zone with the competent authorities and organisations with a view to coordinating economic, cultural and recreational projects and interests in that territory;
(b) cooperate with the authorities and organisations carrying out an economic activity in the territory of the national park and its protection zone in preparing and drawing up draft plans for their activities and applying the requirements of national nature conservation in their approval;
(c) monitor and evaluate, (3) how the authorities and organisations referred to in point (b) maintain the provisions issued for the conservation of nature in the territory of the national park and its protection zone and take measures to remedy the deficiencies identified.
(3) The authorities and organisations which intervene in the natural circumstances in the territory of the national park and its protection zone are required to discuss with the Slovak Institute of Heritage Care and Nature Protection the intentions they intend to implement and issues affecting the interests of the State conservation of nature in that territory.
§ 6
(1) National committees are involved in the protection, restoration and enhancement of the nature and natural environment of the national park and its protection zone within their respective competences.
(2) Cave care and beauty services within the national park and its protection zone are provided by the cave management organisation; 4) Paragraph 5 (3) applies mutatis mutandis.
Common and final provisions
§ 7
(1) The arrangements and conditions for the protection of declared protected areas, protection zones established under specific regulations, (5) cultural monuments, natural therapeutic baths and natural medical resources in the territory of the national park and its protection zone are without prejudice to the establishment of a national park and the designation of its protection zone.
(2) In the performance of their activities, the State Nature Protection Authorities and the State Monument Care Authorities take account of the interests of the Czechoslovak People's Army and the National Security Corps in the changes affecting the defence and security of the State, equipment or premises serving that purpose; they are obliged to seek the approval of the competent authorities of the military or security authority for such changes. The interests of the military and security authorities are not affected by the establishment of a national park.
§ 8
Part of the protected landscape area of the Slovak Raj is added to the territory of the national park, which is also set aside from the protection zone. 6)
§ 9
This Government Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.

TERRITORY DEFINITION
National park Nizke Tatra and its protection zone
The National Park of Nizke Tatry and its protection zone are situated in the districts of Banská Bystrica, Liptovský Mikuláš and Poprad.
I. Definition of the territory of the National Park Nizke Tatra
The territory of the Nizke Tatra National Park (hereinafter referred to as "the National Park '), consisting of two parts, is defined as follows:
The border of the western part of the national park is situated from the confluence of the river Belé with the Váh in Liptovský Hradec, heading towards the east of the lower border of the forest above the village Liptovská Porúbka to the state road No 72, continues in the south direction, turns towards the south-west at booth 694 and runs over the ridge over the cubits 1325 (Hradište), 1538 (Nižný Príslop), 1343 (Krákrzlázlky upch), 1723 (Straight hoľa) on the cubit 1506 (Bocianske saddle). He is also heading to the west, following the ridge along the border of the counties Liptovský Mikuláš and Banská Bystrica, continuing in the western direction to the Hrdinov cottage of the Slovak demanding uprising, further in the southwest and south direction to the ridge of the Great Gáple through the cubits of 1776, 1669, 1180 (Záloma) to the cubit 936 (Stupka), further towards the southwest via the Bystře Dolina to the cubit 842 (Upper diel). From there it takes place along the ridge of the southwest towards the lower edge of the forest, continuing in the western direction along the lower border of the forest to the Nasty stream, and further down the river against its flow. The border continues against the dry creek and northwest along the forest line. When crossing the forest road, it turns southwest, crossing state road no. 05650 at booth 590, followed by the English stream. It continues the border of the forest in the western and southern direction into the valley of the river Veľký Grapeľe, further in the north direction the border of the forest and the ridge over the cubits 844, 1231, 1408 (Žiar) to the upper border of the forest and the upper border of the forest under the Žiarska staff, Latiborská stick, Košarisky, Raztok stick, Veľka Chochulí, Dust, continues the border between the districts Banská Bystrica and Liptovský Mikulas through the cubits 1099, 1330 (Goat) and the cubit 1225 (Kečka). From there, the border continues in the northern direction of the gathering ridge of Veľké Shindliarka to the stream of Korytnica, further to the grove of Patočina and the northeast direction to the ridge through the cubicle of 900, crosses the stream of Patočina in the southeast direction, continues through the ridge to the cubit of 1181 (Chierny vrch), from there in the southeast direction through the cubicle of 1233 (Banášov bok) to the upper edge of the forest. The border continues in the northeastern direction of the upper border of the forest towards the cadastral border between Liptovská Ložna and Partizány Izopča under the cubit 1640 (Veľká hoľa), further in the northern direction along the above-mentioned cadastral border at the cubit 1221 via the cubits 1555, 1231 (Raztocka saddle) on the cubicle 1630 (Salatín) and continues in the western direction along the ridge over the ridge over the cubits 1334, 1298 (Red Magura) on the state road No 59, along the north direction of the intravilan intravile settlement of Biely Potok (Ružomberok), including the steel construction plant. The intranavilan of this settlement passes from the eastern side along the field path, along which it continues to the western border of the indolent of the village Ludrová, along the south border of the indolent of the village Ludrová to the river Ludrovanka, along the south border of the river Ludrovanka, along the south border of the eastern border of the village of Bohúňova, along the eastern border of the village of Liptovica and Partizány, along the eastern border of the eastern border of the village Liptovnica and the eastern border of the river Upčianka after the second bridge from which it goes to the east of the ridge of the cabin 1048 (Očenášovská) and from the southeast of the ridge of the ridge of the cote 1444 (Little Salatín), along the eastern border of the upper part of the village. At the spring of the Paludžanka stream, the border turns in the northern direction over the cubits of 1520, 1429 (Jaloviarka) and 1229 (Uhlisko) to the Hájna nad Laziskom in the valley of the Paludžanka stream, continuing in the eastern direction the lower border of the forest above the villages of Ploštěn, Iľanova, Závážný Poruba and Liptovský Ján to the starting point at the confluence of the Belé river with the Lihem.
The border of the eastern part of the national park is based on the confluence of Biele Váhu with Čierny Váh, continues in the eastern direction along the forest path through the cots of 1009 (Rígeľ), 917 (Petráňová), 1109, 1116 (Hošková), 1106 (Smená), 1112 (Brada), 1046, continues in the southeast direction via the cubits of 1068, 1075 (Krahulec), 1091 (Jedlina), 1107 (Brdálová), further south along the forest road under the cote of 1218, 1428 (Čertovica) through the cubit of 1216 on the cot of 1555 (Úpláz). It continues in the eastern direction to the cubicle 1545 (Predná hoľa) and then continues towards the east via the junction 1099 (Pop), from there towards the southwest on the state road no. 67 and 66 to the railway station Švermovov-Penzón, continues in the north direction along the lower edge of the forest, further against the flow of the river Zúbra and under the cubicle 1690 (Kráľova skala). The border is further westbound along the upper border of the forest along the main ridge of the mountains south of the cots 1948 (Kráľova hoľa), 1839 (Orlová) pod Ždiarske sedlo, continues the lower border of the protective forest under the cubits 1519 (Andrejcová), 1691 (Veľká Vápenica), 1508 (Kolesárová), 1544 (Oravková), 1659 (Zadná hoľa), 1393 (Vrbovica), 1474 (Konné), 1463 (Čertov wedding). Here it is heading north and beyond the 1463 block, moving northeast towards the cadastral border of Vyšná Boca, Nižná Boca, Malužiná, Polomka, continuing west and then north over the cubits of 1478 (Fishiarka), 1289, 1281 (Špíglá), 1166 (Olešková), 1166 (Olešková) to the eastern edge of the inlevilan village Malužiná, further in the northern direction through the cubits of 1151 (Skribňova), 1106 (Sečice), 1150 to the lower forest border and east towards the lower border of the forest and the river Belienec to the starting point at the confluent of the Bielý Váhu with the Clear Weih.
The territory of the national park is marked on the basic maps of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic on the scale 1: 50 000 on the following map sheets:

The area of the national park is 81 095 ha.
II. Definition of the national park protection zone
The border of the national park protection zone is based on the border of the national park on the north edge of the indolent settlement Biely Potok (Ružomberok) and is proceeding in the north direction of the national road 59 to Ružomberk, where it continues in the eastern direction of the road 18 (E 85) along the road bridge on the Liptovský Michal in the eastern part of the village Liptovský Michal, and continues in the eastern direction of the river Váh along the road bridge near Kráľov Lehota (on the section of the dam Liptovská Mara southern flood). The border continues in the eastern direction along the railway line via the railway station Važec and Štrba, continues in the eastern direction along the railway line via the Lučivá stop to the bridge via the river Kysnica near Svit. The border is further heading south through cubits 944, 1001, continues in the south-west direction via cubicle 1255 to cubicle 977, 970 and then in the west and then in the south direction through the forest path below cubicle 1901 (Jedlinská), where it connects to the border of the national park.
In the next part, the border of the protection zone comes from the border of the national park near the railway station Švermovov-penzón, from there it continues in the southwest direction along the railway line after the intersection of the state roads No 66 and no 531 near the Red Skala and the western direction along the Hron River via the road bridge in the village Šalková, going in the north direction to the state road No 66, following the intersection with the railway line Banská Bystrica - Diviaka, from there along this railway line in the western and north direction along the Sásov valley, from there to the western direction to the river Bystrica. Following it takes the northwest direction after the confluence with the Old Mountain Brook, it continues in the northern direction against the stream of the Old Mountain Brook after the confluence with the Šturek Brook and from there towards the north along the state road No 0597 through Liptovska Revúce to Liptovská Osád and the state road No 59 towards the road bridge over the Strelovka stream where it connects to the border of the national park.

The area of the national park protection zone shall be 123 990 ha.
The map of the national park and its protection zone with the encapsulated boundaries of their internal breakdown, together with the annexes and relevant documentation, are stored in the Slovak Heritage and Nature Protection Institute in Bratislava, the Central Slovak Regional National Committee in Banská Bystrica, the Regional Regional National Committee in Košice, the Regional National Committee in Banská Bystrica, the Regional National Committee in Liptovský Mikuláš, the Regional National Committee in Poprad, the Regional Administration of Geodesy and Cartography in Banská Bystrica and the Regional Administration of Geodesy and Cartography in Prešov.
