Government Regulation
of 26 April 1946
declaring certain activities to be a professional activity of a pharmacist.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic hereby orders, pursuant to Section 3, paragraph 3 of the Law of 18 December 1906, No 5 of 1907, governing pharmaceuticals:
The following activities shall also be considered as professional activities within the meaning of § 3 (1), 4 (4) of Law No 5 / 1907, provided that they are the subject of a pharmacy or other branch which may replace it:
1. teaching activities at institutes or laboratories of university or officially authorised institutes (aspirant schools);
2. successful study at home university;
3. activities in state offices, state institutes for the examination of medicines (foodstuffs) or similar departments of the State Health Institute;
4. the activity of the holders of public social insurance (measures) and their associations;
5. Activities in drug manufacturing plants.
Proceedings under Paragraph 1 must be demonstrated:
(a) as regards Nos 1, 3 and 4, the appointment decree and the employer's certificate,
(b) as regards No 2, a PhD diploma, if the field of dissertation is linked to pharmaceutical science, or other evidence of successful university studies of such fields (testimonies from laboratories and colloquial testimonials);
(c) with regard to No 5, a certificate to the employer and the body of the staff race council.
The 15-year professional activity referred to in Section 3, paragraph 4 of Law No 5 / 1907, shall be included:
(a) the teaching activity referred to in § 1, No 1, at the maximum of 10 years;
(b) the period of study referred to in § 1, No 2 at the maximum of 3 years;
(c) the activity referred to in § 1, § 3, if the master of the pharmacy was employed for at least 1 year at a public pharmacy;
(d) the professional activity referred to in Sections 1, 4 and 5, if the master of the pharmacy was employed for at least 3 years at a public pharmacy.
The professional five-year activity referred to in Section 3, paragraph 4 of Law No 5 / 1907, shall include:
(a) the activities referred to in § 1, § 1 and § 2 at a maximum of 2 years;
(b) the activity referred to in Paragraph 1, No 3, at the maximum of 4 years;
(c) the activities referred to in Sections 1, 4 and 5 shall be of a maximum size of 3 years.
In the case of a five-year professional activity referred to in Section 3, paragraph 4 of Law No 5 / 1907, the activity referred to in Section 1 shall also be included if it was carried out before the application of this Regulation.
The Order of 2 October 1918, No 360, which refers to the profession of pharmaceuticals, is hereby repealed.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication and shall apply in the Czech and Moravian-Silesian States; they shall be carried out by the Minister for Health.
