on the introduction of the Czechoslovak Pharmacopoeia - third edition - in the Slovak Socialist Republic
The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Socialist Republic provides in agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture and Nutrition of the Slovak Socialist Republic and with the other participating central bodies pursuant to § 70 (1) (c) of Act No. 20 / 1966 Coll., on the care of the health of the people:
Czechoslovak Pharmacopoeia - the third edition (hereinafter referred to as "Pharmacopoeia") * takes effect in the Slovak Socialist Republic on 1 July 1970.
(1) Pharmacopoeia is compulsory for organisations and professionals involved in the preparation, manufacture, control, storage, prescription and supply of the drugs and medical supplies listed in the pharmacopoeia. These workers, in particular pharmacists, doctors, veterinary surgeons and pharmacists, shall be required to know and follow the content of the pharmacopoeia for the proper exercise of their duties or profession.
(2) For medicines and medical supplies which are not included in the Pharmacopoeia but which have been included in one of the previous issues of the Czechoslovak Pharmacopoeia, the provisions of these issues shall also apply.
The facilities of the pharmacy must be equipped according to the requirements of the pharmacopoeia by 31 December 1972 at the latest.
The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Socialist Republic may, where justified, authorise an exemption from the provisions of the Pharmacopoeia; as regards medicinal products and other substances for veterinary purposes, they shall do so in agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture and Nutrition.
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
