on the establishment and use of a uniform classification of countries
The Federal Statistical Office provides, pursuant to § 35 (2) of Act No. 21 / 1971 Coll., on a single system of socio-economic information:
(1) A single classification of countries (hereinafter referred to as the "classification of countries') is hereby established for the production and provision of information relating to foreign countries, which is binding in the field of socio-economic information, planning, customer-related relations, on the external trade sector and in payments with foreign countries.
(2) The classification of countries will be announced by the Federal Statistical Office in the Central Statistical Authorities' Reports.
(1) Socialists and other organisations are required to use the nomenclature of countries in the full range of code numbers and alphabetical codes.
(2) Exemptions from the country-specific labelling and, where appropriate, more detailed classifications, which further classify countries, are permitted in justified cases by the Federal Statistical Office on a proposal from the relevant central authority.
Complements and changes to the nomenclature of countries shall be implemented by the Federal Statistical Office measures notified in the Collection of Laws.
The Directives of the Central Commission for Human Control and Statistics on the Single Nomenclature of Countries of 29 December 1965 No 42 050 / 1965 (Bulletin of the Central Commission for Human Control and Statistics, amount 22 / 1965) are hereby repealed. *)
This Decree shall take effect on 1 January 1974.
