THE LAW
of 10 November 1965
on changes in the organisation and scope of certain sectoral central authorities
The National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic decided on this law:
(1) The Ministry of Mining is hereby established with competence in the fields of fuel extraction and treatment, ore and non-ore raw materials.
A Ministry of Heavy Industry is hereby established with competence in engineering and metallurgical industries.
(1) Central Water Management is hereby established as a central body of the State Administration.
(2) The responsibility of the Central Water Management Authority is transferred from the current Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water to the Water Management sector.
(3) The central management of water management is subordinate to the government. The Prime Minister, who is a member of the government, is in charge.
A more detailed definition of the scope of the bodies referred to in Section 1-3 shall be laid down by the Government.
(1) In the field of water management, the Commission operates in Slovakia the Slovak National Water Council, headed by the Chairman. The Commission shall be set up and its organisation and scope defined by the Slovak National Council by law.
(2) The President of the Commission of the Slovak National Water Management Council carries out the tasks assigned to it within the limits of the competence of the Slovak National Council. Other tasks in the field of water management in Slovakia are performed to the extent specified by the Government.
The ministries of fuel, metallurgical industry and ore mines, heavy machinery and general engineering are being abolished. The scope of the repealed ministries, as laid down in specific regulations, shall be transferred to the ministries set up according to their competence.
(1) The Central Administration for the Development of the Local Economy is hereby repealed. Paragraph 1 (2) (e) of Act No. 93 / 1964 Coll., on the determination of the fields of state administration in which the delegates of the Slovak National Council are active, and on the related changes in the organisation of certain central authorities, is also repealed.
(2) The existing central administration for the development of the local economy is transferred to the Ministry of the Interior and to the national committees to the extent that the government will define in more detail.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water is turning into the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
