on the update of the Country Code list (CZEM)
The Czech Statistical Office, pursuant to Article 19 (2) of Act No. 89 / 1995 Coll., on the National Statistical Service, as amended by Act No. 411 / 2000 Coll., announces with effect from 1 July 2014 the update of the Country Numerical List (CZEM), introduced by the Czech Statistical Office Communication No. 489 / 2003 Coll. of 18 December 2003 and updated by Communications No. 534 / 2006 Coll. of 27 November 2006, No. 394 / 2010 Coll. of 14 December 2010, No. 167 / 2011 Coll. of 13 June 2011, No. 361 / 2011 Coll.
The subject of the update is to take account of changes in the international standard ISO 3166-1, published on its website by the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO), and the introduction of the Czech names of the countries recommended for use by the European Commission of the Regional and Catastrological Office.
The updated Country Number (CZEM) will be available on the Czech Statistical Office website at www.czso.cz.
