Federal Ministry of Finance

on the issue of commemorative silver hundreds for the 100th anniversary of the death of Karl Marx
The Federal Ministry of Finance declares pursuant to § 3 (2) of Act No. 41 / 1953 Coll., on monetary reform, and pursuant to § 2 (2) of Government Decree No. 35 / 1954 Coll., on commemorative coins:
(1) On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the death of Karl Marx, commemorative silver hundred crowns are issued.
(2) The silver stockings are driven by an alloy of 500 pieces of silver, 400 parts of copper, 50 parts of nickel and 50 parts of zinc. The weight of the hundred koruna is 9 g. In the case of stamping, a tolerance up and down of 10 / 1000 and a silver content of 5 / 1000 is permitted. The diameter is 29 mm, the edge is serrated.
(1) On the face of the commemorative silver stokron is the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic. Under the national emblem, the name of the State is in three rows the "CZECH SOCIALISTIC REPUBLIC" and the middle of the bottom at the edge of the coin is the lime leaf. A value designation is placed in the middle of the sides of the national emblem; on the right, the number "100," on the left, the abbreviation "Kčs."
(2) On the back of the commemorative silver hundred crowns is a portrait of Karl Marx in a front view. In the copy on the top right is his name "KAREL MARX," lower left "1883-1983."
(3) The author of the design of the commemorative silver stokron is the academic sculptor Ladislav Kozák, whose brand "LK" is placed on the back of the lower.
This decree shall take effect on 10 January 1983.
