on the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Austrian Federal Government on the visa waiver for holders of service passports
On 5 December 1975, the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Austrian Federal Government on the visa waiver for holders of service passports was signed in Vienna.
The Agreement entered into force pursuant to Article 6 thereof on 19 May 1976.
The Czech version of the Agreement is hereby published at the same time.

AGREEMENT
between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Austrian Federal Government on visa waiver for holders of service passports
Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and Austrian Federal Government
in order to further develop relations, they have decided to conclude the following visa waiver agreement for holders of service passports:
National citizens of one Contracting State holding a valid service passport may travel to the territory of the other Contracting State or that territory without a visa.
(1) The persons referred to in Article 1 may stay without visas in the territory of the second Contracting State for three months.
(2) Members of the administrative and technical or service staff of a diplomatic mission or consular post of one Contracting State in the territory of the other Contracting State, official representatives of one Contracting State in international organisations having their registered office in the territory of the other Contracting State, or officials of such an international organisation, as well as members of delegations of one Contracting State to international negotiations to the other Contracting State, if they hold a valid service passport, may remain in the territory of the other Contracting State without a visa during their secondment.
(3) Family members living in the common household with the persons referred to in paragraph 2 may, for the duration of their secondment, stay without visas in the territory of the second Contracting State, provided that they themselves hold valid service passports.
Persons referred to in Article 1 may cross national borders at all border crossing points for international travel.
The Agreement shall be without prejudice to the right of the Contracting States to refuse an unwanted national entry or stay on their territory.
For reasons of public policy, the Contracting Parties may temporarily suspend the application of this Agreement in whole or in part. This measure shall be notified immediately by diplomatic channels to the other Contracting Party, giving reasons; The same applies to the repeal of this measure.
(1) The Agreement shall enter into force on the date on which the Parties notify each other in writing by diplomatic means that they have been approved under their national rules.
(2) The Agreement is negotiated for an indefinite period. It shall expire three months after the date on which one of the Contracting Parties denies it in writing through diplomatic channels.
Done at Vienna, 5 December 1975 in duplicate, each in the Czech and German languages, the two texts being equally authentic.
