establishing the Memorial Medal for the 20th Anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising
The Bureau of the National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic has decided pursuant to Article 60 (2) of the Constitution on the following legal measure:
In memory of the 20th anniversary of the struggle in the Slovak National Uprising, the Memorial Medal is established on the 20th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising. The detailed provisions on this medal and on its lending include the attached Statutes which form part of this legal measure.
This legal measure shall take effect on the date of its publication.

Memorial Medal for the 20th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising
The commemorative medal for the 20th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising is established as an honorary recognition for the recognition of participation in the fight against fascism in the Slovak National Uprising, in which the ties of the Bohemian and Slovakian brotherly nations were consolidated, further deepened the Czechoslovak-Soviet friendship as well as the solidarity of all forces fighting Hitler's fascism.
A memorial medal for the 20th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising can be given to members of the army and Partisan troops who participated in the fighting in the Slovak National Uprising and to other citizens who, in the immediate context of the Slovak National Uprising, organised and systematic combat activities, or otherwise contributed to the visible damage of the enemy and to the help of the Slovak National Uprising.
The commemorative medal for the 20th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising can be given to military services that carry the historical names and fighting traditions of the Slovak National Uprising, and to municipalities that participated in the Slovak National Uprising as a whole or provided significant help.
A memorial medal for the 20th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising can also be given to foreign nationals and military services.
On the 20th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising, the President of the Republic hands over the medal on a government proposal. The Slovak National Council presents proposals to the Government; if it is to lend a medal to soldiers or members of armed corps, the Minister of National Defence or the Minister of Interior to the President of the Republic directly makes proposals.
A diploma will be issued at the same time as the Memorial Medal for the 20th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising.
If he dies decorated, he leaves the medals to the survivors, who do not wear it.
The medal given "in memoriam" to the fallen and deceased is not worn, but will be handed over to the final safekeeping of the survivors, or will be stored in the Slovak National Uprising Museum.
The memorial medal for the 20th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising is a bronze (patinated) circle with a diameter of 35 mm. In the relief of the front of the medal is the character of a woman who symbolizes an armed popular uprising. At the edge is the inscription "Slovak National Uprising 1944-1964." On the reverse is the state sign and inscription: "Czechoslovak Socialist Republic."
The ribbon of the medal is 40 mm wide. In the middle of the ribbon is 1 mm wide white stripe with red light, 1 mm wide blue stripe on both sides and 18,5 mm wide red stripe.
The commemorative medal for the 20th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising is worn on the left side of the chest behind the Dukel Memorial Medal. If only the ribbon is worn, it is stretched to a rectangular bar 10 mm wide and 40 mm long.
Matters Memorial Medal on the 20th anniversary of the Slovak National Uprising are managed by the Office of the President of the Republic.
