Decree of the Minister of Finance
of 19 May 1948
on the withdrawal of certain Czechoslovak currency coins.
Under Article 3 of the Act of 11 March 1948, No 39 Coll., on the tender of the Czechoslovak currency,
Coins of Czechoslovak currency from zinc issued until 1945, as well as coins of the same value of aluminium issued until 1945, will cease to be legal tender on 31 May 1948.
From 1 June 1948 to 30 June 1948, the Czechoslovak National Bank, its headquarters in Prague, its regional institute for Slovakia in Bratislava and all its filial offices, as well as all postal offices, will exchange the coins mentioned in § 1 at their ticket offices. After 30 June 1948, any exchange of these coins is excluded.
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
