DECLARATION
of 19 December 2011
on the issue of a commemorative silver 500 crown for the 100th anniversary of the birth of Jiří Trnka
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll.:
(1) On 1 February 2012, the 100th anniversary of the birth of the artist Jiří Trnka is issued a commemorative silver five hundred crown (hereinafter referred to as "five hundred crown").
(2) Five hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version with polished field of coin and matte relief (hereinafter referred to as "special version").
(3) Five hundred crowns in normal and special design are rolled from an alloy containing 925 parts of silver and 75 parts of copper. The weight of the 500 koruna is 25 g, its diameter 40 mm and its strength 2,6 mm. In the case of embossing of five hundred crowns in normal and special design, the tolerance shall be 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,15 mm in thickness. In mass, the tolerance shall be up to 0,26 g and in the silver content shall be up to 1%. The edge of the five hundred crown in normal design is serrated, the edge of the five hundred crown in special design is smooth with the feature "CZECH NATIONAL BANKA * Ag 0.925 * 25 g *."
(1) On the front side of the five hundred crown, the figure of the elf from the film Jiří Trnka "Midsummer Night's Dream" is in a rectangular cut in a phased motion. At the left, upper and right edges of the five hundred crown, the name of the state is "CZECH REPUBLIC." Under the picture of the elf is the denomination of the coin with the abbreviation "500 CZK." Above the abbreviation of the money unit is the logo of the project "European silver programme," under which the $500 is issued. This logo takes the form of a star placed in the symbol "€." The brand of the Czech Mint, consisting of the composition of the letters "No" and "M", is at the bottom edge of the five hundred crown.
(2) On the reverse side of the 500 crown is a portrait of George Trnka. There are "1912 - 2012" and "SIRE TRNKA" in the unclosed copy. The numbers and individual words of the text are separated by dots. On the right of the portrait are the initials of the author of the five hundred crown MgA. Josef Oplištil, which are composed of joined letters "OJ."
(3) The image of the five hundred crowns is given in the annex to this decree.
This Decree shall take effect on 1 February 2012.
