DECLARATION

of 8 April 2010

on the declaration of the National Nature Reserve of Great Niva and the establishment of its closer protection conditions

The Ministry of the Environment provides pursuant to § 79 (4) (h) of Act No. 114 / 1992 Coll., on the Conservation of Nature and Landscape, as amended by Act No. 218 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 312 / 2008 Coll. and Act No. 349 / 2009 Coll.:

§ 1

Subject matter of protection

(1) The National Nature Reserve of Great Niva (hereinafter referred to as the "National Nature Reserve") is hereby declared.

(2) The object of the protection is a large, indigenous peat with natural forest crops consisting mainly of sown peat reeds and fillers with the presence of rare and endangered species of animals and plants, including biotope and the population of pine fender (Pinus uncinata). The protection also covers the natural habitat types and species for which another legislation1) the European site of Šumava has been declared and located in the territory of the national nature reserve.

§ 2

Definition of the national nature reserve

The national nature reserve is situated in the territory of the South Bohemia Region, in the cadastral territory of Volary. The national natural reserve boundaries shall be determined by a closed geometric pattern with direct sides whose vertices are determined by the coordinates of the single trigonometric network system of the cadastral2). The list of coordinates of the vertices of the geometric pattern as they follow in the pattern is given in Annex 1 to this decree. An indicative graphical representation of the territory of the national nature reserve is given in Annex 2 to this decree.

§ 3

Closer protection conditions

Only with the consent of the competent nature conservation authority can the national nature reserve

(a) to make changes to the type of land or the way in which it is used (3);

(b) establish hunting or fishing facilities.

§ 4

Efficacy

This Decree shall take effect on 1 June 2010.
