Minister for Foreign Affairs

concerning the International Convention on Telecommunications
The International Convention on Telecommunications was negotiated in Geneva on 21 August 1959; for the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, the Convention was signed with the reservations contained in points XVII, XXII and XXIII of the Final Protocol to the International Telecommunications Convention (Geneva 1959).
The President of the Republic ratified the Convention with reservations made when it was signed on 26 July 1962. The instruments of ratification of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic were deposited with the General Secretariat of the International Telecommunications Union on 1 August 1962.
According to Article 17, paragraph 3, the Convention for the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic entered into force on 1 August 1962.
A copy of the Convention together with the Czech translation is stored in the archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
