THE LAW
of 8 October 1971
on increasing the pensions of old-age pensioners and certain low social security pensions
The Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic decided on this law:
Act No. 101 / 1964 Coll., on Social Security, as amended by Acts No. 89 / 1968 Coll., No. 161 / 1968 Coll. and No. 71 / 1970 Coll., is amended as follows:
The lowest rates of pensions, which are the sole source of income of the pensioner, set out in Sections 18 (5), 28 (4) (a), 31 (6), 34 (4), 37 (2), 63 (1) and 122a, are increased from the amount of 500 Cčs to 550 Cčs and 850 Cčs to 900 Cčs.
Act No. 103 / 1964 Coll., on social security of cooperative peasants, as amended by Acts No. 141 / 1965 Coll., No. 116 / 1967 Coll., No. 89 / 1968 Coll., No. 161 / 1968 Coll. and No. 71 / 1970 Coll., is amended as follows:
The lowest rates of pensions, which are the only source of income of the pensioner, set out in § 47 (4), § 48 (3), § 58 (4) (a), § 59 (5), § 66 (6), § 69 (4), § 101 (1) and § 137a shall be increased from the amount of CZK 500 to CZK 550 and from the amount of CZK 850 to CZK 900.
An increase in the pension referred to in Article II and Article III may be granted at the request first, starting with the payment of the pension due in October 1971.
The Bureau of the Federal Assembly is hereby authorised to publish in the Collection of Laws the full text of the Social Security Act and the Social Security Act of cooperative peasants, as is apparent from the subsequent regulations.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
