DECLARATION
Minister for Finance
of 20 October 1965
on the issue of coins after 3 Ccs
The Minister of Finance declares pursuant to § 3 (2) of Act No. 41 / 1953 Coll.:
On 1 November 1965, coins of 3 CZK (hereinafter "coins') shall be circulated.
(1) Coins are rolled from copper composed of 80 parts of copper and 20 parts of nickel. The gross weight of the coin is 5.5 g. The diameter of the coin is 23.5 mm and its edge is smooth with the repetitive ornament of the lime leaf - a wave that is made by the mould.
(2) In the case of stamping, the tolerance shall be up and down in gross weight 20 / 1000 and in nickel content 10 / 1000.
(1) On the face of the coin is the state sign of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, around it in one row the inscription "CZECHOSLOVAK SOCIALISTIC REPUBLIC" and the year of production is indicated in the open space below. The author of the design of the face is academic sculptor Zdeněk Kolářský.
(2) On the reverse of the coin on the right, the value is marked with a large number "3" and under it the abbreviation of the currency unit "Kčs." On the left side there is a stem with a flower, consisting of five lime petals, symbolizing the idea of national growth and in its composition resembling a five-pointed star. Around the flower it is portrayed in irregular ellipses of a national ribbon as a symbol of constant movement and freedom. The design of the ruby is the work of academic sculptor Zdeněk Kolářský in graphic cooperation with academic painter and graphic artist Eduard Hájk. The names of artists "KOLÁŘSKÝ" and "HÁJEK ED" are located in the block lower left.
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
