LEGAL MEASURES

of 11 July 1968
on certain measures in the field of justice and public notaries
The Bureau of the National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic has decided pursuant to Article 60 (2) of the Constitution on the following legal measure:
(1) When the regional organisation of the counties is changed, the Minister of Justice, in Slovakia, shall establish a representative of the Slovak National Justice Council, for the newly created district, the district court shall determine its seat and determine on which date the court shall take up its business.
(2) For important reasons, the seat of the District Court may be determined outside the District Office.
(1) Professional Judges and Judges who perform their duties in addition to their employment are entitled to perform their duties in a newly established court whose jurisdiction relates to the territorial district or part of the territorial district of the court for which they were elected.
(2) The Minister of Justice, in Slovakia, the delegate of the Slovak National Justice Council, will determine which of the eligible judges will perform their duties in the newly established court.
The Court of First Instance shall also examine and decide cases pending before the Court of First Instance for which it would have jurisdiction at the time when the proceedings were initiated.
(1) Paragraph 1 applies mutatis mutandis to the establishment of state notaries.
(2) Paragraph 3 applies mutatis mutandis to proceedings before a public notary in matters of succession, registration of legal acts, enforcement of decisions by sale of real estate and the management of land books.
This legal measure shall take effect on the date of its publication.
