THE LAW
of 5 December 1963
on the establishment and competence of the Government Committee on Tourism
The National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic decided on this law:
Basic provisions
The Government Committee on Tourism is hereby established as a body of the Government for Home and Foreign Tourism Management.
Main tasks
(1) The Government Tourism Committee shall, in particular, carry out the following tasks:
- organise and manage domestic and foreign tourism;
- participate in the negotiation of international agreements and agreements where they concern foreign tourism;
- approves the participation of Czechoslovak tourism organisations in international organisations;
- approve, in accordance with the indicative indicators established by the Government, the draft tourism development plan;
- discuss and adopt measures relating to tourism.
(2) The Government Tourism Committee issues generally binding legislation in its field of competence on the basis of laws and regulations and in order to implement them.
Regional Commission on Tourism
The Regional National Committees shall set up Regional Commission on Tourism and shall decide in which counties or locations they shall establish district or local national committees of the Tourism Commission.
Organisation
(1) The President and members of the Government Tourism Committee are appointed and withdrawn by the Government.
(2) A more detailed definition of the competence of the Government Tourism Committee is laid down in the Statute approved by the Government on its proposal.
Final provisions
Government Regulation No. 7 / 1956 Coll., on the transfer of competence in the field of foreign tourism is hereby repealed.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
