on the issue of commemorative silver CZK 200 for the 50th anniversary of the landing of allies in Normandy
The Czech National Bank provides according to § 22 (a) of the Act of the Czech National Council No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank:
(1) On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the landing of allies in Normandy, commemorative silver two hundred crowns (hereinafter referred to as "two hundred crowns") are issued.
(2) Two hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version intended for collector's purposes with a polished field of coin and matte relief (hereinafter referred to as the special version).
(3) Two hundred korona in normal and special design is rolled from an alloy containing 900 parts of silver and 100 parts of copper. The weight of the two-hundredth crown is 13 g, its diameter is 31 mm and its strength is 1,95 mm for the two-hundredth crown in normal design and 1,91 mm for the two-hundredth crown in special design. The edge of two hundred crowns in normal design is serrated, the edge of two hundred crowns in special design is smooth. In the case of two-hundredth stamping in both normal and special design, the permitted tolerance shall be up and down at a weight of 0,238 g, on average 0,1 mm, 0,15 mm and 0,5% of silver.
(1) There is a large national emblem of the Czech Republic on the cheek of the two hundred crowns, located closer to the right edge of the coin. At the bottom edge of the coin, the name of the state is "CZECH REPUBLIC" in one row. Under the name of the State, the year of the coin "1994" is placed. Under the figure "1" an year, there is a mint brand that drove two hundred crowns. From the state emblem on the left is the abbreviation of the money unit and the denomination of the coin "CZK 200" in two rows. The national emblem, the abbreviation of the money unit and the denominations of the coin are placed on a shrafted wedge, ranging from the left edge of the coin to the right edge, which symbolically depicts the wedge of the state flag of the Czech Republic and at the same time the combat formation of fighter planes.
(2) On the back of the 200 crown is depicted the battle formation of the fighter English Spitfire planes on which Czechoslovak fighters flew. Aeroplanes are marked with invasion lanes on wings and hull, a sign of allied aircraft. On the wings of the aircraft is also the noble emblem of the British Royal Air Force, so-called cokard. The fighter formation of fighter planes is located on the same shrafted wedge as on the face of the coin. The inscription "D-DAY NORMANDIE 6.6.1944" relating to the anniversary of the invasion of Allied troops in France is placed in three rows at the bottom of the coin. The letter "O" in the word "NORMANDIA" is stylized as the sovereign sign of the British Royal Air Force. The author of the design of the two hundred crowns is the academic sculptor Jarmila Truhlíkov- -Spíváková. The initials of her name "JTS" are placed at the bottom of the coin under the second digit "6" at the date of the invasion.
This Decree shall take effect on 1 June 1994.
