Decree of the Ministers for Health and Justice
of 20 April 1948
establishing a State Veterinary Investigation Institute in Hradec Králové.
The Ministers of Health and Justice declare, pursuant to Section 3, paragraph 4 of the Decree of 13 October 1897, No 240 of the establishment of state institutes for the examination of foodstuffs and articles, the needs of the kind referred to in the Law of 16 January 1896, No 89 of 1897:
On 1 June 1948, the members of the staff State Veterinary Investigation Institute located in Hradec Králové, established pursuant to the Law of 16 January 1896, No 89 *, 1897, on trade in foodstuffs and certain items of need (hereinafter referred to as the Institute).
The Official District of the Institute are the administrative districts: Broumov, Nové Byžov, Dobruška, the Court of the Králové nad Labem, Hořice, Hradec Králové, Chrudim, Jablonec nad Nisou, Jaroměřín, Jichín, Jilemnice, Lanškroun, Litomyšl, Nové Město nad Metují, Vysoká Mýto, Nákod, Pardubice, Polička, Rynov nad Knežně, Semily, Trutnov, Ústí nad Orlicí, Vrchlabí a and Žamberk.
The Institute shall be responsible for the tasks of investigating food of animal origin referred to in Regulation No 240 / 1897, except for the chemical investigation of foodstuffs.
