DECLARATION
of 20 May 2014
on the issue of the commemorative silver two hundred crowns for the 450th anniversary of the birth of Christopher Harant of Polžice and Bezdržice
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll.:
(1) On 11 June 2014, the 45th anniversary of the birth of Renaissance nobleman Kryštof Harant of Polžice and Bezdružice is issued with a commemorative silver coin of CZK 200 (hereinafter referred to as the "two hundred crowns").
(2) Two hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version with polished field of coin and matte relief (hereinafter "special version").
(3) The two-hundred korona in normal and special design is rolled from an alloy containing 925 parts of silver and 75 parts of copper. The weight of two hundred crowns is 13 g, its diameter is 31 mm and its strength is 2,25 mm. In the case of an embossing of two hundred crowns in normal and special design, the tolerance shall be 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,15 mm in thickness. In mass, the tolerance shall be up to 0,26 g and in the silver content shall be up to 1%. The edge of two hundred crowns in normal design is serrated, the edge of two hundred crowns in special design is smooth with the feature "CZECH NATIONAL BANKA * Ag 0.925 * 13 g *."
(1) On the front of the two-hundred crown is a cut of the title page of the travel page of Christopher Harant from Polžice and Bezdržice "Travelling or a journey from the Kingdom of the Czech Republic to Venice, from there by sea to the Holy Land, the Land of Judah and further to Egypt," through which Kryštof Harant is depicted on a camel. Under the picture of Christopher Harant, his password "Virtus ut sol micat" is represented as a note record. On the right of the front page of the travel page is the mandolin theme, on the left is the sailing boat at sea. Above the cut of the front page is the composition of heraldic animals from a large state emblem in the shields - the middle is the Czech lion, the left is the Moravian eagle and the right is the Silesian eagle. Shields are partially overlapping. The name of the state "CZECH REPUBLIC" and the denomination of the coin with the acronym of the money unit "200 CZK." The texts are bounded by four-pointed stars. The brand of the Czech Mint consisting of the composition of the letters "Za" and "M" is at the bottom edge of the two hundred crowns. The coin field is filled with four-pointed stars.
(2) On the reverse side of the two hundred crown is a portrait of Christopher Harant of Polžice and Bezdružice. On the right of the portrait is the coat of arms of Christopher Harant, which partially interferes with the collar. The text "KRYŠTOF HARANT FROM POLŽIC AND DOCUMENT" is on the perimeter of the two hundred crowns. The text is on the edges and bounded by four-pointed stars. At the right and left edges of the two hundred crowns, the years are "1564" and "2014." Under the year "2014," the initials of the author of the art design are two hundred crowns of academic painter Vladimir Pavlici, which are composed of letters "VP" in the frame. The coin field is filled with four-pointed stars.
(3) The picture of the two hundred crown is given in the annex to this decree.
This Decision shall enter into force on 11 June 2014.
