Federal Ministry of Finance
of 4 September 1978
on the issue of coins after 50 halves of model 1978
The Federal Ministry of Finance declares, pursuant to § 3 (2) of Act No. 41 / 1953 Coll., on monetary reform:
On 2 October 1978, coins shall be issued for circulation in the form of 50 pennies of model 1978 (hereinafter referred to as "50 pennies').
(1) Fifty halves are drawn from copper composed of 80 copper parts and 20 nickel parts. The weight of the 50-cent is 3.2 g. The diameter is 20.8 mm, its edge is serrated.
(2) In the case of a 50-inch embossing, a tolerance of up and down 20 / 1000 and a nickel content of 10 / 1000 is permitted.
(3) On the face of fifty halers is the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, in a copy to the left is the name of the state "CZECHOSLOVAK SOCIALISTIC REPUBLIC." The year of production is indicated under the national emblem below.
(4) On the back of the 50-cent mark, the value is a large number "50" and the letter "h" below. There's a five-pointed star in the middle of the mark. The author's mark of the design of the academic sculptor František David "D" is placed to the right of the letter "h" just below the figure "0."
Coins of 50 pennies of model 1963 remain temporarily in circulation.
This Decree shall take effect on 2 October 1978.
