THE LAW
of 11 July 1960
concerning the merger of certain ministries, the transfer of water management to the Ministry of Agriculture and the change of name of the Ministry of Construction
The National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic decided on this law:
(1) The increasing importance of the water economy and the close link between the planned use of water resources for agriculture purposes and for the whole national economy, as well as for meeting the ever-increasing needs of the population, require central management of the water economy to be concentrated in one place. The Ministry of Agriculture shall be transferred from the current Ministry of Energy and Water Management to the Department of Water Management, in particular to the Central Water Management Authority under Act No. 11 / 1955 Coll., on Water Management as amended by Act No. 12 / 1959 Coll.
(2) The Ministry of Agriculture is transformed into the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water.
The Ministry of Fuel and Energy is hereby established. This Ministry is created by the merger of the existing Ministry of Fuel and the current Ministry of Energy and Water, from which water management is transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture pursuant to Section 1. The Ministry of Fuel and Energy remains the management of water energy works, including the provision of their construction, maintenance and operation.
The Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Communications are merged in the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
The Ministry of Construction has been transformed into the Ministry of Construction, construction, construction and construction.
The Chairman of the State Technical Development Committee, appointed by the Government, is the head of the State Technical Development Committee.
The detailed definition of tasks of individual central government bodies in relation to the transfer of competence under this Act shall be carried out by the Government. In particular, the government will also define the scope between the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Czechoslovak Radio and Czechoslovak Television in the field of the construction, maintenance and operation of technical radio and television equipment.
This Act shall take effect from 11 July 1960.
