on the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of Sweden on cooperation in the field of health
On 5 July 1984, the Agreement between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of Sweden on cooperation in the field of health was signed in Prague. The Agreement entered into force on the date of its signature on the basis of Article 4 thereof.
The Czech translation of the Agreement is announced simultaneously.

AGREEMENT
between the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and the Government of Sweden on cooperation in the field of health
Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and Government of Sweden
led by the desire to develop cooperation in the field of health,
Believing that such cooperation will contribute to the consolidation of relations between the two countries in accordance with the Final Act of the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe,
have concluded the following agreement:
The Parties shall provide each other with information on:
1. organisation of health services,
2. principles and methods used in the field of education and training of doctors, pharmacists, nurses and other healthcare professionals;
3. methods and results in the field of preventive care,
4. the methods and results used in the field of health, i.e. care for the healthy environment and working environment, hygiene of nutrition, care for the health of school youth, combating infectious diseases, as well as disinfection, disinsecting and exeratization,
5. significant results in the field of medical research,
6. the methods and results used in the area of information collection and processing;
7. methods and results in the field of health education.
The Parties shall support:
1. cooperation in the organisation of health services,
2. cooperation between medical faculties, scientific research institutes, medical institutions and medical companies,
3. participation of experts in international congresses and scientific conferences organised by any Party;
4. exchange of scientists, researchers, doctors, pharmacists, university teachers, teachers of specialised medical schools and other healthcare professionals.
The Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the CSSR and the Swedish National Health and Welfare Council will be responsible for the implementation of this Agreement. To this end, the abovementioned authorities will prepare action plans, including financial conditions.
This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of signature and shall be valid for five years. It shall be automatically extended for a further five years unless one of the Contracting Parties notifies its expiry no later than six months before the end of the five-year period concerned.
