GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 10 January 2024
amending Government Regulation No 481 / 2012 Coll., on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, as amended
The Government orders pursuant to § 22 paragraph 1 of Act No. 22 / 1997 Coll., on Technical Requirements for Products and on the Amendment and Addition of Certain Acts, as amended by Act No. 526 / 2020 Coll.:
Čl. I
Government Decree No. 481 / 2012 Coll., on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, as amended by Government Decree No. 391 / 2016 Coll., Government Decree No. 101 / 2018 Coll., Government Decree No. 146 / 2019 Coll., Government Decree No. 121 / 2020 Coll., Government Decree No. 344 / 2020 Coll., Government Decree No. 334 / 2021 Coll., Government Decree No. 120 / 2022 Coll., Government Decree No. 45 / 2023 Coll., and Government Decree No. 241 / 2023 Coll., are amended as follows:
1. At the end of footnote 1, the sentences are added to separate rows
"Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2023 / 1437 of 4 May 2023 amending, for the purposes of adapting to scientific and technical progress, Annex IV to Directive 2011 / 65 / EU of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards an exemption for the use of mercury in melt pressure transmitters intended for capillary reometers under certain conditions. Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2023 / 1526 of 16 May 2023 amending Directive 2011 / 65 / EU of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards an exemption for the use of lead as a heat stabiliser in polyvinyl chloride used as a source material in sensors used in in vitro diagnostic medical devices. ';
2. In Annex 3, the following entry 41a is inserted after entry 41:
"41a. Lead as a heat stabiliser in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) used as a starting material in amperometric, potentiometric and conjugometric electrochemical sensors which are used in in vitro diagnostic medical devices for full blood creatinine and urea nitrogen analysis (BUN). It applies to medical devices in accordance with § 2 (2) (g). Expires on 31 December 2023. '
3. In Annex 3, the following entry 49 is added:
'49. Mercury in melting pressure converters designed for capillary reometers at temperatures above 300 ° C and pressures above 1000 bar. It shall apply to monitoring and control equipment including industrial monitoring and control equipment as referred to in Section 2 (2) (h). Expires on 31 December 2025. '

Efficacy
This Regulation shall take effect on 1 February 2024.
