DECLARATION

of 28 December 2011

on the declaration of the National Nature Reserve of the Chlumská Strana and establishing its closer protection conditions

The Ministry of the Environment provides pursuant to § 79 (4) (h) of Act No. 114 / 1992 Coll., on the Conservation of Nature and Landscape, as amended by Act No. 218 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 312 / 2008 Coll. and Act No. 349 / 2009 Coll.:

§ 1

Definition of the national nature reserve

(1) The National Nature Reserve of the Chlumská Peak (hereinafter referred to as the "National Nature Reserve") is hereby declared.

(2) The national nature reserve is situated in the territory of the Pilsen Region, in the cadastral territory of Chlum nad Berounka. The national nature reserve boundaries shall be determined by a closed geometric pattern with direct sides whose vertices are determined by coordinates of a single trigonometric network of cadastral1). The list of coordinates of the vertices of the geometric pattern as they follow in the pattern is given in Annex 1 to this decree.

(3) The protection zone of the national nature reserve is situated in the territory of the Pilsen Region, in the cadastral territory of Chlum nad Berounka. The national nature reserve protection zone boundaries shall be determined by closed geometric patterns with direct sides whose vertices are determined by coordinates of the single trigonometric network of the cadastral1). The lists of coordinates of the vertices of geometric patterns as they follow in the patterns are given in Annex 2 to this decree.

(4) An indicative graphical representation of the territory of the national nature reserve and its protection zone is given in Annex 3 to this decree.

§ 2

Subject matter of protection

National nature reserves are protected

(a) natural forest crops made up of hercynese duohorbines, acidophilic doubras, acidophile and flowery beets, rubble forests, ash-olsh ludges, boron and cleft vegetation silicate rocks and drolines; and

(b) rare and endangered species of plants and animals, in particular populations of the highly endangered species of red otter (Taxus baccata), including their habitats.

§ 2

Closer protection conditions

Only with the consent of the competent nature conservation authority can the national nature reserve

(a) to make changes to the types of land or methods of exploitation (2);

(b) to adjust the surface of the road using non-local natural material of the same geological origin;

(d) feed or bait animals.

§ 3

Efficacy

This Decree shall take effect on 1 February 2012.
