Bureau of the Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic
of 14 February 1989
to protect public order
In order to protect public order, the Bureau of the Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, pursuant to Article 58 (3) of Constitutional Law No. 143 / 1968 Coll., on the Czechoslovak Federation, has decided on the following legal measure:
Čl. I
In Paragraph 156a of the Criminal Act, the words "six months' are replaced by the words" one year '.
Čl. II
Paragraph 6 of Act No. 150 / 1969 Coll., on Laws, is amended as follows:
1. the words "three months" shall be replaced by the words "six months";
2. the amount "5000 CZK" shall be replaced by "20 000 CZK";
3. the following shall be added after the provisions of point (b):
"(c) produce, produce or extend a printed matter which, by its content, distorts the interest of the Socialist State in maintaining public order."
Čl. III
This legal measure shall take effect on the date of its publication.
