Ministry of Health of the Czech Socialist Republic

on the binding nature of Czechoslovak Pharmacopoeia - fourth edition in the Czech Socialist Republic
The Ministry of Health of the Czech Socialist Republic provides in agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture and Nutrition of the Czech Socialist Republic pursuant to § 70 paragraph 1 (c) of Act No. 20 / 1966 Coll., on the care of the health of the people:
This decree provides for the obligation of the Czechoslovak Pharmacopoeia to the territory of the Czech Socialist Republic - fourth edition (hereinafter referred to as the "Pharmacopoeia") 1)
(1) Pharmacopoeia is compulsory for organisations and professionals involved in the preparation, manufacture, control, evaluation, storage, prescription and issuance of the drugs and medical supplies listed in the pharmacopoeia. These workers, which are pharmacists, doctors, veterinary surgeons, chemists, biochemists, quality management staff, pharmaceuticals and other laboratory workers, are required, if necessary for the proper pursuit of their activities or professions, to know and follow the content of the pharmacopoeia.
(2) Pharmacopoeia is deposited on regional, regional and urban national committees, national health institutes and other organisations for which it is binding.
(3) The Ministry of Health of the Czech Socialist Republic may, where justified, authorise an exemption from the provisions of the Pharmacopoeia; as regards medicinal products and other substances for veterinary purposes, this is done in agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture and Nutrition of the Czech Socialist Republic.
The Decree of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Socialist Republic No. 82 / 1969 Coll., on the introduction of Czechoslovak Pharmacopoeia - the third edition in the Czech Socialist Republic, as amended by the Decree of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Socialist Republic No. 24 / 1976 Coll., on the introduction of an addendum to the Czechoslovak Pharmacopoeia - the third edition in the Czech Socialist Republic.
This Decree shall take effect on 1 October 1987.
