Slovak National Council
of 28 January 1964
on the award of honorary degrees "Promised member of Slovak National Theatre" and "Promised worker of Slovak National Theatre"
The Slovak National Council decided on this law:
(1) For the award of excellent artists of the Slovak National Theatre, who have earned his high artistic level and thus made an exceptional contribution to the performance of his national and cultural mission to serve the working people, socialist society and its art, an honorary title "A deserving member of the Slovak National Theatre is introduced."
(2) The honorary title "Promised Member of the Slovak National Theatre" is awarded to outstanding artists of the Slovak National Theatre who have worked in this theatre for at least 10 years and who have consistently achieved such results that they become a model for other artists of the Slovak National Theatre and other theatres.
(1) For the award of excellent operational and organizational staff of the Slovak National Theatre, the honorary title "Promised worker of the Slovak National Theatre" is introduced.
(2) The Honorary title "Researcher of the Slovak National Theatre" is awarded to excellent operating and organizational staff of the Slovak National Theatre, who have worked in this theatre for at least 10 years, consistently by becoming an example of other workers of the Slovak National Theatre and other theatres.
(1) Honorary titles "Promised member of the Slovak National Theatre" and "Promised worker of the Slovak National Theatre" are awarded by the delegate of the Slovak National Council for Education and Culture.
(2) At the same time as the award of the honorary degrees referred to in paragraph 1, the Charter (diploma) concerning the award of the honorary degree is submitted.
The delegate of the Slovak National Council for Education and Culture shall withdraw the honorary title "Promised Member of the Slovak National Theatre" or "Promised Worker of the Slovak National Theatre," if he to whom he has been awarded has become an unworthy title.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
