on boarding school for workers and the economic security of students at those schools
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, for the implementation of § 9 and § 21 of Act No. 186 / 1960 Coll., on the System of Education and Education (Education Act), and § 126 (3) of the Labour Code, gives the following regulation:
Intern High School for Workers
(1) From the school year 1973 / 74, boarding schools for workers are established for the preparation of young, professional and politically advanced workers and peasants.
(2) Internacional secondary schools for workers are a comprehensive educational establishment complementing and extending the professional qualifications and general training of workers; provide full secondary education.
(1) The study at boarding schools for workers is one year. The weekly teaching period is six days.
(2) It recommends applicants to study in boarding school for workers in organisations with whom they are employed or in a Member State (hereinafter referred to as "organisations"). Candidates' recommendations are required to complete a preparatory course before starting their studies at a boarding school for workers.
Adjustment of leave and economic security
(1) During the course of study, the organisation of a cooperative worker or member (hereinafter referred to as "the worker ') shall provide a leave of absence with compensation for salary (remuneration) of an average wage of four hours per week.
(2) During the course of study at the boarding school for workers, the organisation provides the worker with a leave of absence of compensation (remuneration).
(3) According to the recommendation of the Graduate Board, the organisation provides work leave without compensation for salary (remuneration) even during the main holidays before the start of the university.
(1) For the duration of their studies, the Regional National Committees grant a scholarship and a social contribution to workers.
(2) The scholarship for the duration of the study at the boarding school for the workers is 1000 CZK per month. It pays at the beginning of each month. For married workers, married to children or single with children, the regional national committees shall determine the amount of the scholarship so that the share of one member of the family from the total total of all income in the family shall be at least 800 Cds per month.
(3) The scholarship referred to in paragraph 2 shall also be payable to workers for the period of leave without compensation of the salary referred to in Article 3 (3).
(4) The social contribution in the study of boarding schools for workers amounts to 1000 KCs. It is paid once at the beginning of the school year.
(1) The costs of accommodation and meals are borne by workers.
(2) Workers are entitled to a discount on travel expenses as well as students of secondary schools in daily studies.
Final provisions
Unless otherwise provided for in this Government Regulation, boarding-school secondary education is subject to the legislation applicable to secondary education schools.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
