amending Act No. 168 / 1999 Coll., on the insurance of liability for damage caused by the operation of a vehicle and amending certain related laws (Act on Insurance of Liability from the Operation of a Vehicle), as amended, and Act No. 239 / 2013 Coll., amending Act No. 56 / 2001 Coll., on the Conditions for the Operation of Vehicles on the Road and amending Act No. 168 / 1999 Coll., on the Insurance of Liability for Damage from the Operation of a Vehicle and amending certain related laws (Act on Liability from the Operation of a Vehicle), as amended by Act No. 307 / 1999 Coll.
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Amendment of the Vehicle Liability Insurance Act
Act No. 168 / 1999 Coll., on the insurance of liability for damage caused by the operation of a vehicle and on the amendment of certain related laws (Act on Insurance of Liability from the Operation of a Vehicle), as amended by Act No. 307 / 1999 Coll., Act No. 56 / 2001 Coll., Act No. 320 / 2002 Coll., Act No. 47 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 278 / 2009 Coll., Act No. 281 / 2009 Coll., Act No. 341 / 2011 Coll., Act No. 18 / 2012 Coll., Act No. 160 / 2013 Coll., Act No. 303 / 2013 Coll., Act No. 239 / 2013 Coll., Act No. 239 / 2013 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. In Article 24 (1), the words "and from the contributions received under Article 24c 'are deleted.
2. § 24c is deleted.
3. The Annex to the Act is deleted.
Transitional provisions
1. All judicial, enforcement and similar proceedings in respect of the contribution pursuant to § 24c of Act No. 168 / 1999 Coll., on insurance of liability from the operation of the vehicle, as amended, initiated before the date of entry into force of this Act shall be completed in accordance with Act No. 168 / 1999 Coll., as effective before the date of entry into force of the Act.
2. The contribution referred to in point 1 is the income of the guarantee fund pursuant to Section 24 (1) of Act No. 168 / 1999 Coll., on Insurance of Vehicle Liability, as effective before the date of entry into force of this Act.
3. The enforcement of the amount to which the insurer or the Office was entitled pursuant to Act No. 168 / 1999 Coll., on the insurance of liability from the operation of the vehicle, as effective before the date of entry into force of this Act, started until the date of entry into force of this Act, is governed by the existing legislation.
4. The right to a contribution, including its accessories, under § 24c, shall cease if the Office does not send a call for payment by the date of entry into force of this Act.
Amendment to Act No. 239 / 2013 Coll.
In Part Two, Article III of Act No. 239 / 2013 Coll., amending Act No. 56 / 2001 Coll., on the Conditions for the Operation of Vehicles on the Road and amending Act No. 168 / 1999 Coll., on the Insurance of Liability for Damage Caused by the Operation of a Vehicle and on the Amendment to Certain Related Acts (Vehicle Liability Insurance Act), as amended by Act No. 307 / 1999 Coll., and other related Laws, points 26 to 32 are deleted.
Efficacy
This Act shall take effect on the 15th day following its publication.
