Ministry of Metal Industry and ore mines
of 9 September 1964
on the collection and purchase of discarded alkaline battery cells
In agreement with the central authorities involved, the Ministry of the metallurgical and ore mines provides, pursuant to § 6 of Decree No. 68 / 1960 Coll., on the management of metal waste and raw materials and under § 5 of Decree No. 60 / 1959 Coll., on the scope of planning, production and control of prices:
The collection and purchase of discarded alkaline battery cells marked 60 Ah and more is carried out by the Prague Accumulator, the National Company, the Rashkovice plant, the Railway Station Dobrá u Místek (the "Prague Accumulator").
All socialist organizations ("suppliers') are obliged to offer and hand over Prague Accumulators of alkaline battery cells marked 60 Ah and more within two months of their elimination.
The Prague Accumulator will pay suppliers 120 KCs per tonne (without electrolyte and wood packaging) of the sender's franco station for the delivered alkaline battery cells marked 60 Ah and more.
The collection of discarded alkaline battery cells marked below 60 Ah is carried out by the national company Kovoscrap as part of the purchase of steel waste.
Prior to delivery of the discarded alkaline battery cells, suppliers are required to dispose of the liquid filling (electrolyte).
The decree of the ministries of the metallurgical and ore mines and the automotive and agricultural machinery industries No 247 / 1955 Ú. l is hereby repealed on the collection of unfit (disposal of discarded) alkaline accumulators.
This decree shall take effect on 1 October 1964.
