Czech National Banks
of 16 May 2000
on the expiry of commemorative silver coins issued by the Czechoslovak State Bank
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 (d) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank:
(1) On 30 June 2000, commemorative silver coins issued between 1954 and 1992 by the Czechoslovak State Bank (hereinafter referred to as the Czechoslovak commemorative coins) listed in the Annex to this Decree are hereby terminated. This day the Czechoslovak commemorative coins cease to be legal money1) in the Czech Republic.
(2) Czechoslovak commemorative coins are exchanged between 1 July 2000 and 30 June 2001 by all banks (2) carrying out cash operations, between 1 July 2001 and 30 June 2006 only by the Czech National Bank.
This Decree shall take effect on 15 June 2000.
