DECLARATION
Federal Ministry of Finance
of 4 September 1978
on the issue of the commemorative silver century for the 600th anniversary of the death of Charles IV.
The Federal Ministry of Finance declares pursuant to § 3 (2) of Act No. 41 / 1953 Coll., on monetary reform, and pursuant to § 2 (2) of Government Decree No. 35 / 1954 Coll., on commemorative coins:
(1) On the occasion of the 600th anniversary of the death of the Czech king Charles IV, commemorative silver hundred crowns are issued.
(2) The silver stockings are driven by an alloy of 700 pieces of silver and 300 pieces of copper. The weight of the hundred krone is 15 g. In the case of stamping, a tolerance up and down of 10 / 1000 and a silver content of 5 / 1000 is permitted. The diameter is 33 mm, the ring is repeated on the edge and the two lines are on both sides.
(3) On the face of the commemorative silver stokroon is the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic in the middle of the upper part and under it in five lines the name of the state "CZECOSLOVAK SOCIALISTIC REPUBLIC," the designation of the value "100 Kcs" and the year of the stamping "1978."
(4) There is a portrait of Charles IV on the reverse of the commemorative silver stokron with the Czech royal crown in the right profile. On the left of the portrait is the name "KAREL ● IV ●," on the right the title "KING ● CZECH" and below the portrait in two rows of the year of his government "1346" and "1378." The author of the design of the commemorative silver stokorn is the academic sculptor Jaroslav Štursa, whose initials "Š" are placed in the oblique section of the portrait ending down above the year "1346."
This Decree shall take effect on 2 October 1978.
